empathy
capacity to appreciate what another person is thinking and feeling - 'to put oneself in another's shoes'. This is identified as a necessary component of moral understanding and sense, one to be deliberately promoted in moral education. Just as it is a quality vital in effective story-telling, drama representation or film making, story, role play and visual play-back are widely used as learning ingredients for effective moral education. To this end capturing the imagination of heart and mind is a desirable asset.
